THE SPARKS FAMILY

PUREBRED REGISTERED HORNED HEREFORD CATTLE

BEYOND THE COWPIES:

The Sparks Family has been raising Hereford cattle for decades in Southeastern Montana.

Tom is an active members of the community and the Hereford breed.  Tom serves on the Customer Focus Group for Ft Keogh Experiment Station.

Carol Anne (Pehl) Sparks, was called to be with her Lord Jesus Oct 19 due to a very unexpected lung cancer diagnosis only three weeks earlier. Carol Anne was a farmer’s daughter who transitioned into a rancher with a love for Rangelands and Herefords. She also owned and operated Montana Prairie Products Business providing plant and seed mounts that many students in a 5 state area used at school. Very active in the church, Homemakers, MSU College of Ag and 4-H  programs, she contributed tirelessly for the benefit of all.

Also active in their ranching operation are Tom and Carol's children.  William and his wife, Jimmie, and their children Charlee, CT, and Guthrie live and work on the ranch.  The other children: Frank, Katy, George his wife Jess with their sons Kix, and Coy. All help when needed. George and Jess are on a ranch south of the home place, in which they raise their Herefords. See 7C Herefords tab for more details.

This page reflects the family's interests and life on the ranch.
